eX, the Irish based, international early music/theatre ensemble presents, Shipwrecked, featuring:
- Spanish music of the 16th century,
- Recreations of Irish song of the period,
- Instrumental and vocal music from Elizabethan England
- Wild, improvised fusions of the above.
With Shipwrecked, eX brings together an ensemble of renowned early music specialists and traditional Irish musicians in an innovative music theatre event recounting the amazing story of Francisco de Cuellar, Captain of an Armada galleon, shipwrecked on Steedagh Strand, who spent seven months as a fugitive in Connacht and Ulster.
