A Ghost Story

Monday 30th October, 5pm & 8pm

Tickets €6.50 – €7.50 – 12A Cert

The ghost of a recently deceased musician is compelled to return to the home that he shared with his wife. Forced to watch passively as his grieving widow slowly rebuilds life without him, he finds that in his spectral state he has become unstuck in time.
This unique low-budget supernatural drama from David Lowrey (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints), starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara, is not the conventional spectral tale that its title suggests. Shot in a boxy 4:3 ratio with limited dialogue, Lowrey has instead created for his audience an intimate meditation on legacy, loss and longing.
One of the highlights of 2017’s Sundance Film Festival, this is the most original, divisive and unforgettable film you’ll see this year.
